RouteShot vs Veeva Web2PDF
Both capture web pages for review. Web2PDF is Veeva's free crawler: it renders a site to a PDF for Vault, within per-crawl page limits, and relies on "Hints" markup added to the page to get dynamic content and the ISI right. RouteShot captures the whole site at standardized widths, with ISI and consent states as their own artifacts, encrypted staging auth and a full audit trail, and needs nothing added to the page.
This is our own comparison, written to be accurate and useful. Web2PDF details are from Veeva's Web2PDF help and Hints documentation. If any detail is out of date, tell us and we'll fix it.

When Web2PDF is the right call
If your client's Vault has the Web2PDF action configured and the site already carries Veeva Hints markup, Web2PDF is free and delivers a PDF straight into the review flow. Within its crawl limits, that is the path of least resistance, and it is the tool the Vault side of the review already knows.
When RouteShot is the right call
When you are routing a whole site through review at every milestone, getting Hints markup onto every site and re-running within crawl limits does not scale. RouteShot is built for the repeating job: point at staging, capture every page at desktop and mobile, full-page and above-the-fold, ISI handled, and hand your reviewer an organized set with a record of exactly what was captured and when.
- No markup required. Nothing gets added to the site. Point at the staging URL and run.
- Standardized across your team. Everyone captures at the same org-configured widths, so reviews are reproducible.
- Auditable. Who captured what, when, against which URLs, with per-page success or failure.
